Charities Aid Foundation asked more than 700 donors to share their thoughts on what influences them to give to charity.
Fidelity Charitable’s survey of 3,000 adults, including 288 entrepreneurs, found that millennials, on average, donate $13,654 a year to charity, compared to $6,200 for Gen X and $6,192 for baby boomers.
Based on an online survey of 1,400 donors, the report, Giving by Generation: Millennials had the biggest increase in giving among the generations, by 40%, from $942 to $1,323.
